Almonds have unique sentiments hidden in them. They can soothe your heart into a more calm and rhythmic beat, propelling you to feel more with the depths of your heart because only a healthy heart can lead to true love. And true love leads to a more soulful life, so almonds can help you find the meaning of life and love.
Now these wise words are backed by science to convince you more about how almonds can change your body.
A new research has pointed out that almonds may help patients with high cholesterol because they can reduce unhealthy cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides while not doing anything to healthy cholesterol (HDL).
The study was led Kathy Musa-Veloso, PhD, the director of health claims and clinical trials at Intertek Scientific & Regulatory Consultancy and indicates that almonds can decrease heart related and cholesterol problems.
She says, “These results strengthen decades of research about how the regular consumption of almonds can favorably impact blood lipid levels and have a positive effect on heart health. The consumption of almonds as part of a healthy diet should be encouraged in order to improve blood lipid levels and reduce the risk of heart disease.”
This study is in contradiction to previous publications which have demonstrated that eating almonds has no lipid modifying effects. Clearly, it is not so!
The researchers in Kathy Musa-Veloso’s team found that the benefits of almonds are more visible in hyperlipidemic people have who have an intake of 45g/day. They claim these findings are important as they can help health experts to better understand the use of almonds in maintaining blood lipid levels.
