According to a new study by Japanese researchers who analyzed 86,024 specimens, by making them fill out questionnaires about their health and binge watching habits, the more time spent binge watching, the greater your risk of developing a blood clot. After more than 19 years since the beginning of the research, they confirmed 59 deaths from pulmonary embolism, a blood clot that makes its way to your lungs.
Furthermore, the research confirmed that watching television for 2.5 to 5 hours increases the risk a fatal blood clot by 70% and binge watching for more than 5 hours can drastically increase this risk by 250%.
Just to emphasize and highlight the purpose of the study, don’t spend your life being cooped up in front of a television screen. Get up, go out and live your life to the fullest.
